This superstar tribute to Country Music included artists and songs that have defined country music over the decades and continue to shape the genre today. Country legends Alison Krauss, Kris Kristofferson, Lyle Lovett, and James Taylor joined current chart toppers The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, American Idol Finalist Lauren Alaina and the national introduction of Mickey for a night of country music in a location as American as the style of music itself, the East Room of the White House.
